Self-hosting options

For a hosted instance

Choose AI and execution independently.

Bring your own keys — OpenRouter or Ramp Router for models, Modal or Fly for code execution, and more as we add support — billed by those providers with no markup. Or, for ease, use ours: pass-through billing at the provider’s cost plus 15%, from prepaid usage funds.

Only options marked available can be chosen today; everything else is labeled with its current status.

Inference

Managed AI (OpenRouter)Available

Choose it when you launch an instance. Texture provisions an OpenRouter key for that instance and installs it in Mesh, within a monthly spending limit you set in the console.

OpenRouter usage at the provider's rates plus a 15% management fee on that usage. Taxes are separate. Paid from prepaid usage funds, bought before first use.

Your own model keyAvailable

Add an OpenRouter or Ramp Router API key inside your Mesh instance. A ChatGPT or Claude subscription is not an API key.

Billed directly by your provider. No Texture markup.

Execution

Managed execution (Modal)Available

Choose it when you launch an instance. Code and repository tools run in Modal sandboxes on Texture’s Modal account, through a revocable, rotating credential issued to that instance only.

Modal sandbox time at Modal’s list price, metered per second, plus a 15% management fee on that cost. Taxes are separate. Per sandbox hour: Small $0.1770, Standard $0.3816 (Modal’s list price plus the fee). Paid from prepaid usage funds, bought before first use.

Managed execution, per sandbox hour, metered per second: Modal’s list price and what you pay (Modal’s cost + 15%). Taxes are separate.
Sandbox sizeModal’s priceYou pay
Small: 1 CPU core, 512 MiB memory$0.1539/hour$0.1770/hour
Standard: 2 CPU cores, 2 GiB memory$0.3318/hour$0.3816/hour
Your own Modal or Fly accountAvailable

Optional. Add a Modal token or a Fly token in your Mesh instance’s settings for code and repository tools.

Billed directly by Modal or Fly. No Texture markup.

Configure connectors and create agents inside your Mesh instance. For Slack, connect management credentials once for the instance, then give each agent its own Slack app.

What the trial covers

The 14-day trial covers the hosted instance only and starts at Checkout for your first eligible instance. Additional instances are billed without a trial. AI inference and execution are not part of the trial. Managed services are paid from prepaid usage funds, bought before first use; your own provider keys are billed by those providers.

A few useful answers

No guesswork
on the usage bill.

Does Hosted Mesh include AI usage?

No. The subscription and its trial pay for the hosted Mesh instance only. With your own OpenRouter or Ramp Router key, your provider bills you directly with no markup. Managed AI is pass-through billing at the provider’s cost plus 15%, paid from prepaid usage funds; choose it when you launch an instance.

Is Hosted Mesh a ready-made agent?

Hosted Mesh provides the runtime. A technical member of your team still creates agents, selects models, connects channels, and configures tools inside the Mesh instance.

What about Mesh Agent?

Mesh Agent is our name for the fully managed combination: a hosted instance with managed AI, managed execution, and guided setup. It isn’t available to purchase. Each managed service will be offered with its own published price before it can be enabled. See what’s planned.

Can we self-host today?

Mesh is being prepared for a public MIT release. The repository is currently private. Visit the open-source page for release status and the architecture you can evaluate now.

What should we evaluate before using the beta?

Review the current data and privacy limits, including operator access to stored content, and the runtime boundaries. Hosting beta onboarding is not a general-availability or compliance commitment.
